Education is incredibly important to our team. Recently, Owner Haley Benjamin and Lili Salon Advanced Educator Jess Livingston were invited to spend two days at the House of Bumble. After 3 long years of the House of Bumble being closed, Lili Salon Spa was one of 100 invites from across the country invited to join the celebration of their re open. This event developed relationships with other industry leaders right in the heart of New York City. The event was called Razor Fest – and it was a memorable weekend for all.
This intimate event brought the life back to our hairdressing industry with this in-person, education focused event. Attendees enjoyed stage work plus an opportunity to expand their knowledge with a hands-on signature razor cut class from the top stylist of Bumble and bumble University.
Haley and Jess offered many insights from the trip. Firstly, it including some confirmation of favorite products to pair with razor cuts (of course)! For each cut, Bumble and bumble’s cult favorites including Prep Spray and Tonic were used in each razor cut.
Razor cutting celebrates natural curl and wave. Pick this cutting technique to adds extra texture. The service requires a keen eye and patience. Small sections are cut to give the stylist the ability to let the natural hair exist for optimal texture. Lastly, when finishing out the style post razor cut, a simple Grooming Crème brings out definition and helps create a defined, textured look.
